We harvested about 13 thousand board feet last month from the MOFGA woodlot in Unity, and are going to start milling it tomorrow March 15th. Some of it will go to fixing the Red Barn floors, some to CGCFair projects, and some saved and dried for eventual use in the proposed new office and education building, whenever that happens.
If anybody is interested in pine slabs for firewood, let me know SOON, otherwise we will chip them up when we chip the 70 or so cords of biomass that also was harvested (to be used for Fairground and woodlot trails and fill-ins etc.).
If you have any ideas about how MOFGA might best use its wood, please let the Low Impact Forestry Committee know, through this forum.
