Our 1813 cape in South Montville will sleep six. We've restored it over the years and love it; we live next door in summers. It's available by the week, fortnight or longer through the warm months. Fair vendors have stayed here happily - and so have many families, artists and writers in retreat, bird lovers and honeymooners!

Is the home available for longer term leases? Does it have any acreage? It looks lovely...

The house is not insulated, unfortunately; it has no heat either. The insurance company will not allow use of the wood stove, so anyone living there in the winter would need to figure on supplying some alternative heating method. I know there are kerosene heaters, etc.
(It IS insured as a rental, and 18 months ago a couple with baby used it for about 6 months.)

There's a door @ bottom of staircase which would help keep heat downstairs. The bathroom is on 2nd floor.

Think this over and we can talk if you like. We'd want to know about you, of course, as you'd be our neighbor and tenant. Do you live in the area now? Do you have friends nearby? Work?
