Unique opportunity for seasoned organic grower, on large, idyllic farm estate in Long Valley, NJ

The Farm:
A National Historic Landmark, this 342 acre preserved farm covers the floor of a verdant alluvial valley consisting of prime soils. The farm is situated 1 hour from NYC in one of the nation’s most affluent counties, where demand for locally grown organic produce/CSA far outstrips supply.

The grower’s challenge:
To eventually provide a year-round, complete plant-based diet for a medical doctor’s projected 250 patients, in lieu of the standard drug-based medicine.

You will be in charge of all farm operations and returning 30 of the 170 acres of conventionally-farmed, excellent soil to organic.
On this you will grow vegetables, grains, fruits, flowers and herbs.

In 2014 we hope to provide much of the diet for 100 patients.

This might be the first HMO/CSA in the USA!

We’re looking for a grower with
- Extensive vegetable-growing experience
- Some experience with grains and small fruits
- Basic construction skills
- Good management competence
- Boundless energy, and a
- Commitment to a plant-based diet
