Come and join us. We are a small sheep and fiber farm in midcoast ME and looking for one or a couple of individuals, who are interested in organic farming based on permaculture principles. This would be a permanent part time opportunity with offered housing (including all utilities and internet access) and an appropriate stipend for the right applicant.
This opportunity could involve also expansion to include a CSA and a farm stand at the farm. Experience in growing vegetables would be required, but livestock husbandry could be learned on farm. Some experience would be helpful, but is not necessary.
This would be ideal for a young person trying to get started with an organic farming business and working toward sustainability.

My Assignment / Training Program
In the last 10 years i was training farmers the GAP which is GOOD AGRICULTURE PRACTICE. i did train the farmers 4 methods of Biological control, which are like the following :
1- Solar sterilization for the soil using sun heat.
2- covering ( low tunnel ).
3- spraying biocides.
4- plant companion ( which can deters insecticides ).
The training result was good because if they have high yield, production they will keep lessening and following all kinds of training and those methods was for the beginner.
