Soon birds will be flocking back to Maine and taking up residence in our local wetlands, forest and field habitats. Gardiner Adult Education is hosting a class which will enable you to identify some of Maine's common birds by sight and sound. Learn about their favorite nesting locations. In this hands-on class, examine bird mounts, eggs, feathers, tracks, skulls and more from the LC Bates travelling museum collection in Hinckley. You will also find out what birds are adapted to wintering in Maine. The class will be held at Gardiner High School on Wednesday, May 21 from 6:00-7:15 p.m. Registration fee is $9.
