Aaron Bell and Carly DelSignore are the husband/wife team that own and operate Tide Mill Organic Farm. We raise, process, distribute and market certified organic milk, beef, pork, chicken, turkey,, eggs, hay, vegetables and seedlings. During the holidays, we create and ship balsam wreaths and other creations. We also give educational farm tours. Carly, born and raised in western Maryland, met Aaron, 8th generation Bell, at the University of Maine in Orono in 1996. They moved to Edmunds, Maine, along the shores of Maine's northeastern most coast to grow nutritious organic food on Aaron's family farm. Tide Mill Farm has been in the Bell Family since 1762, with members of the 7th, 8th, and 9th generation Bells living and working on Tide Mill Farm. Carly and Aaron work together managing their different passions within the farm business. Equally shared is the work and joys of raising our 4 children, Hailey 14, Paige 12, and Henry 9 and Ruth 3. Our goals include connecting people to healthy food; educating consumers and our community about the importance of locally farmed, organic food; strengthening our local economy; and rejuvenating agriculture as an economically viable lifestyle in Washington County. We hope to leave behind a more enriched agricultural environment and local food systems for future generations. We're excited to be doing this in our little corner of Maine knowing we are part of an amazing local, organic food system throughout Maine! To contact us, please email us at eatlocal@tidemillorganicfarm.com or give us a call at (207) 733-2551 Thank you! We hope to see you soon!
