Thank you for your interest in our farm! Please visit our website: www.villagefarmfreedom.com for photos, a blog and much more information about our products and practices!

Village Farm is a diversified, family farm neighboring to the east the small town center of Freedom, Maine. Ultimately, we aspire to build a farm business that is a true asset to our community and local economy. We hope to not only serve the residents of Waldo and Knox Counties with a wide array of wholesome farm products, but also to create a place where neighbors can interact and people can connect with the source of their food. We imagine Village Farm will truly become a community resource and a “farm for the village.”

Enjoy a weekly share of Village Farm's harvest: fresh-picked, highest-quality vegetables, herbs and flowers. Our Summer Share runs June 18- October 8 (17 weeks) and our Fall Share runs October 15-December (8 weeks). Again in 2013, we will partner with two other local farms to offer delectable add-on shares! We offer a Cheese Share from Appleton Creamery in Summer and Fall and an Heirloom Apple Share in fall from Out on a Limb CSA of Palermo.

Connect with a local farm; its plants, animals, soils and community. Celebrate food and fellowship at seasonal gatherings on the farm. We also raise pastured poultry, pigs and beef cattle for meat and pastured hens for eggs. All of our products are grown according to organic standards and our vegetables and eggs are certified organic by MOFGA.

Our primary reason for being MOFGA certified organic is to simplify the consumer's choices. We believe the "Organic" label most simply indicates to our customers our commitment to healthy and sustainable farming choices.

Please contact us for a brochure or cruise around our website. Thank you.

CSA Vegetables: Summer Share: June 18-October 8 $375: feeds 2-3 vegetable lovers. Fall Share: October 15- December (8 weeks) $200. Financial assistance and payment plans available. We accept SNAP benefits! Pick up at the farm in Freedom (20 minutes from Belfast) on Tuesday evenings between 4-6 pm or in Belfast at the UU Church (37 Miller St) on Tuesday evenings between 4-6 pm. We hope to be your farmers in 2013!
