Cultivating Community is growing sustainable communities. We are based in Portland, Maine, with farming operations at the Boyd Street Urban Farm in Portland, Turkey Hill Farm in Cape Elizabeth, and Packard-Littlefield Farm in Lisbon. Cultivating Community uses organic, sustainable practices and Boyd Street and Turkey Hill are MOFGA certified.
Cultivating Community mission is to strengthen communities by growing food, preparing youth leaders and new farmers, and promoting social and environmental justice. We use our community food work as an engine for high-impact youth and community development programs that reconnect people to the natural and social systems that sustain us all. Our refugee farmers market under the collective Fresh Start Farms.
