WHO WE ARE
We are an historic old-time, small family dairy farm and certified organic vegetable farm. Our farm is 800 contiguous acres of valley, pasture, hayland, and forest, with 100 head of dairy cattle, having been operational and in our family circa 1837. Brian Call has been milking cows for almost 30 years and his wife, Joan Gibson Call, is an agronomist, former USDA employee, and an organic crop farmer and cheesemaker.
In addition to our family dairy operation, we have farm pick-up products for our customer and we raise an array of:
farm fresh dairy products, such as our all-natural milk, bottled daily, and all natural eggs, USDA/MOFGA organic vegetables, herbs, cut flowers, and seedlings, USDA-inspected hamburger and veal, very fertile loam, rich aged cow manure, landscaping stones, cedar fenceposts and logs, economy firewood, spruce and cedar kindling/ campfire wood, and decorated Xmas boughs.
All of these products are from our farm, and, priced reasonably. The best method of farmland preservation available is your local food purchase. The force in keeping local farms like us operational, providing us with a mission and purpose to support our local rural economy, keeping food production out of the sphere of food patent monopolies, like Monsanto (just imagine it being illegal to plant a tomato or corn seed!!!), is you, the consumer, patronizing local farms.
