We are a vegetable and berry farm offering shares in our CSA, and selling produce at our Farm Stand on the farm, and thru the online Western Maine Market (www.harvesttomarket.com).
Although we are not certified organic thru MOFGA, all of our food is naturally grown without petroleum based fertilizers, and without pesticides which are not approved for organic use.
What We Offer: A CSA share, which is enough fresh vegetables to feed a small family - two adults and 1-2 small children, costs $350 for a 17 week season from the end of June to Mid October. We also offer a Spring Share at $30 for the early season crops: spring dug parsnips, maple syrup, asparagus, rhubarb, and early greenhouse grown greens. (We aim to provide a market value of 110%, and in the past two seasons we have provided a value in excess of 125%). Shares will include a wide variety of seasonal vegetables, and berries. We also offer U-pick strawberries and raspberries and may have other U-pick items like green beans available for our members if they wish to supplement their shares. Winter Keeper crops are offered for sale to our members throughout the fall and winter and on into the spring. CSA members receive a weekly newsletter with recipes and advise about storage and cooking their produce.
How You Get It: CSA pick-ups will be weekly at the farm on Wednesdays from 3-6 PM from mid-June thru mid-October.
The Farm Stand will be open Wednesday thru Saturday from Noon-6 PM during the same time period.
We also market thru the online Western Maine Market, www.harvesttomarket.com
