I am an urban farmer, organic in nature in Auburn, Maine. I also quilt, teach housekeeping and I'm studying to be a Feng Shui Practioner. The soil here on Goff Hill in Auburn is crazy good. There was a competitive gardening club in this neighborhood back in the 1940's and 50's so I have those gardeners to thank for this great soil. I grow various herbs and veggies but the rhubarb is really excellent which I sold to the Rosemont Market in Portland (spring 2012). This property also has strawberries, blackberries and apples that I am cultivating to sell next year. My favorite part of this urban farm are the perennial cut flower gardens which I originally grew for myself but found a market for in the spring of 2011. I provided flowers and greens for 2 memorial services and was inspired at that time to grow for others as well as for my home.
