Our work is focused on recording stories about traditional medicines so they can be shared with all members of the community, tribal members being a priority. Kuwesi-medicine’s work is driven by an advisory committee of Passamaquoddy elders, with permission being a constant. Respect for culture and language, and accuracy in recording, are integral parts of the work. The knowledge that has come through the elders belongs to them.
