Timelines Community, Inc has purchased the former Farwell's Mill and General Store in Thorndike Village to revive the village center. The project plans include a Storytelling Museum; Museum Store; Reading Room; Farmhouse Kitchen; Production Kitchen; 6 Artisanal Studios for teaching and outreach; 3 Performance Spaces; Community Function Rooms; Historical Society Displays; Boxcar Theater; Boxcar Bookstore. The artisanal studios will encompass skills that have diminished in the modernization of Maine, such as woodworking, letterpress printing, bookbinding, clothing design and stitchery, basketry and boat building. Other projects of Timelines include the annual Waldo County Open Space Festival and the reservations for Railcycles, which allow humans to pedal 4-wheeled cycles over 12 miles of dedicated track during reserved times.
