Meadowcroft has been raising fine wool sheep in all colors since 1990. Polwarth by recipe, the rams are OFDA tested annually and range from 18-23 microns. Ewes are selected by body conformation, age and color for breeding to these rams, or a terminal sire for meat. Some breeding stock is available by request. Wool is harvested, classed and graded, to be custom spun into a fine weight worsted, packaged in a full 4 oz. skein for knitting, or singles for weaving. Yarns are Solar dyed in Seawater in a process I call SEACOLORS, and sold as yarn, or made into one of a kind sweaters, and limited edition blankets. SEACOLORS has been awarded the highest standard of Green Certification by Green America. To learn more, please visit www.getwool.com. None of it would be possible without a posse of happy Border Collies. Occasionally puppies are available, or started dogs. The line is from working stock, very smart, gentle, and easy to work.
